A Letter From Principal Fraker

Dear Epiphany Family,

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.”
Philippians 1:3-5

I would like to start by saying thank you to each member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and School. The Fraker family has been enriched with the love and support we have received from our time at Epiphany. It has been this support that has encouraged us to continue moving forward in ministry, and the next step for our family has been identified. Last month, I received a Call to join a different Lutheran School. A Call is a formal job offer within the system of Lutheran schools. As schools have open staff positions, they are able to access resumes of current workers in ministry. This process is unique, and it is not the product of someone looking to leave a ministry. Rather, it is directed by the Holy Spirit. After lots of prayer and discussions, I wanted to make families aware that I have accepted the Call to serve as Principal at Cross Lutheran Church and School in New Braunfels, TX, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.

Our time in the Houston area has been very special to us. We have served God with our partners in ministry, made dear friends, and our family has grown.  Epiphany will always hold a special place in our hearts. We can see God at work here and know He is working in the details now. We will continue to pray and support the ministry at Epiphany. I am looking forward to one more year of working at Epiphany.  I will do everything I can to make the 2024-2025 year a successful one, while also preparing the school for the transition of leadership for the following year.

Please keep Epiphany in your prayers. Soon, a small group of leaders from the church and school will begin meeting to prayerfully consider who God has called to be the next principal of Epiphany Lutheran School. If you have any questions about this process, please let me or School Board Chair, Kathy Entzenberger, kentzenberger@gmail.com, know.

Thank you again for the support throughout these last five years. May God bless each of you as we serve Him together!

Serving Him,
Jon Fraker
