I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated or prayed for my mission trip to Alaska. This journey was incredibly fun and deeply eye-opening, allowing me to reconnect with my faith.
Throughout the trip, I gained a new appreciation for the blessings in my life. I met a diverse array of people, each with unique stories to share. One memorable experience was volunteering at a refugee garden, where I met a sweet little girl. That same day, we visited a complex care facility for homeless seniors, taking vitals and providing foot and wound care. We ended the day by praying with a man who then prayed for us, a moment that profoundly demonstrated how God works through people and circumstances, strengthening my own faith.
Throughout the week, I continued to witness God’s presence in everyone we encountered. While we aimed to impact the lives of those we served, they made an even greater impact on me. The team I served with was amazing, and I formed lasting friendships.
If you ever have the chance to go on a mission trip, DO IT! It is a life-changing experience. I already miss Alaska, but I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve. Below are some photos from my trip; I hope you enjoy them!
