A Blockbuster Night Under the Stars
The reviews are in, and Epiphany’s first outdoor movie night in a while was a hit. More than 50 people gathered for a joyful evening of fun, fellowship, and laughter under the stars.
Families spread out on blankets and lawn chairs while the popcorn machine did its thing, and there was plenty to go around: fresh popcorn, Texas Roadhouse peanuts, and enough cardboard “cars” to fill a drive-in. The kids stole the show, racing around the playground and then transforming empty boxes into their very own vehicles for the full drive-in experience. A few even started a “Kids Club” with a strict admission policy: no people over 13.
As we settled in for Zootopia 2, the sound of laughter and conversation filled the night. Judy and Nick may have been solving the mystery on screen, but the real feature presentation was our church family enjoying each other’s company. It was a simple and special reminder of how good it is to gather, connect, and just be together.
Two thumbs up all around. We’re already looking forward to the sequel and to more chances to encourage our kids, welcome our families, and enrich our life together at Epiphany. Coming soon to a basketball court near you.
