Everyone had so much fun!
Be sure to relive the fun event through the photo gallery!
Last Saturday, we held our 2nd Annual Back-to-School Cook-IN, serving lunch to 55 families from our church and school. A total of 180 people attended the event.
In addition to lunch, families enjoyed games and participated in five different back-to-school prayer stations centered on putting Christ at the forefront of the new school year. We also had a backpack tag station where students could color their own tags, serving as a visual reminder that God is with them—a meaningful way to witness to students and staff in their schools.
A big thank you to the many people who helped set up, cook, prepare, and serve our families. Our cook team, Matt Thornton and David Cliff, braved one of the hottest weeks in Houston to grill hamburgers and hot dogs. Our Board of Properties team set up the sanctuary and grilling station and returned to reset for church services. Gina Fingleman, Beth Hixon, Brittany Cliff, and Bernadette Thornton prepared and served food, organized activities, and welcomed families. Last but not least, we thank the Rumscheidt Group for attending and photographing the event.
We pray that all the families who attended felt Jesus’s love during this time of fellowship. Please enjoy our photo gallery!
