Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 29, 2024, because it will be Stephen Ministry Sunday! Several members have expressed interest in learning more about this vital ministry, so we will briefly meet between services that day. We invite everyone to join us and discover what we’re all about. You’ll see and hear how we equip you to help others.
Stephen Ministers are not extraordinary individuals—they are regular members who, with a little guidance and support, become extraordinary to a fellow member in need. They are the heart of our ministry, and we invite you to join this special team, knowing that you will be well-equipped and supported in your role.
- Early on, we learn that it is not us who cure, heal, or change thinking—it is God. We are there to walk with troubled members, offering our presence as a source of comfort and support.
- We listen—a lot. We encourage. We validate their concerns. We create a safe space where individuals can feel comfortable sharing their struggles and perhaps find some light.
- We never take God’s place. He is always there, doing the curing.
We understand you may have questions, and we’re here to provide answers. A few minutes of your time on Sunday could make a significant difference in someone’s life—including your own.
