A Report From Beth Hixon, Youth Coordinator @ Epiphany
Last Saturday, our Youth group hit the road for an exciting laser tag competition. It was an incredible day filled with fun, laughter, and a few valuable lessons along the way. We learned just how powerful teamwork and having a strategy can be—and also what happens when those plans don’t quite go as expected! Above all, we were reminded that winning or losing a game isn’t nearly as important as the friendships we share with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
As you might have guessed, my team lost more battles than we won. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but as a Steelers fan, I’ve learned to take both victories and defeats in stride!
After the games, we headed to McDonald’s for a late-night snack, where the laughter continued. It was a bittersweet moment as we said not “goodbye,” but “see you soon” to Liam, who is heading home for now. We look forward to welcoming him back during the Christmas season when he returns to visit his Houston family.
A special thank you goes to Bruce Milbrath for joining us on this adventure. His presence reminded us all of the dedication and support our parents bring to our Youth community.
Blessings to everyone who continues to make our Youth experiences so enriching and memorable!
Blessings to all who help make our Youth experiences so wonderful!
