Starting Sunday, Sept. 22, our College Care Package Lists will be displayed at the Information Center. Each list will show what a student likes or has requested, along with a space for you to sign up to donate specific items.
You may select as many students or items as you’d like or donate money to Mrs. Hixon. Be sure to write “college care packages” in the memo; she will purchase the items on your behalf.
We encourage everyone to participate by donating an item or writing a note of encouragement. These young people will appreciate knowing the congregation is thinking of them and offering support.
Please keep donations in their original packaging and be mindful of specific brand requests. Boxes will be placed under each student’s list. Return your donations the following week and put them in the appropriate box. The goal is to send the packages in time for midterms. We will hold another collection in the spring.
College can be challenging. May our gifts and encouragement remind these students of their roots and help them be a light in their campus communities.
