Urgent: Oktoberfest Volunteers Needed

Why It Matters
Oktoberfest is one of our most significant outreach events at the church. Our church members and school families always have a great time, but did you know we also have several other churches, local Public and Private High school families, and local breweries participating and attending this event? We have a fantastic reputation for creating a fun and safe Oktoberfest experience for our local community, but with this also comes a great responsibility to maintain the standards of our Church mission to Engage, Encourage, and Enrich our community as we use events like this as an opportunity to share the Good News with others. We ask all church members to donate their gifts and talents to help us create a memorable event. If you are attending, please consider donating 1-2 hours of service before, during, or after this special event. Let’s show our area what makes Epiphany special!

How You Can Help
We serve great food and provide tons of entertainment, including live music, home brewer competitions, and many games, including ax throwing, bouncy houses for the children, corn hole tournaments, and more!

We need volunteers to help prepare/cook food, set up the pavilion, manage the various games and inflatables, serve food, judge competitions, greet guests, and clean up after the event. If you cannot physically attend, please consider donating to help offset the costs of the items we need to rent and purchase.

Fun Facts
  • Beer Saves Lives: Did you know that Martin Luther’s wife supported their family by selling her brew while he was exiled? Click here to learn more!
  • Thanks Martin: So while we’d love to call him the Patron Saint of Beer, as Luther was a devout Protestant, he would resent that title. We should, instead, raise a glass to him for the many nights we’ve spent enjoying a cold, hoppy beer
  • A True Saint: Did you know that St. Arnold is considered the official saint of brewers? It’s said that he saved many in his town during the plaque by encouraging them to drink his beer instead of water. The beer was boiled, making it safer to drink!
