Our spooky, kooky Impact family dressed to the bones this past weekend and had a spooktacular time at our Halloween bash! We started the party off with a quick guess of how many pumpkins were in a jar. We discovered we have one fang-tastic guesser in the group, coming in only one above the actual number of pumpkins!
Before the fun began, we fueled up at the caramel apple bar. We enjoyed apple slices covered in caramel and hot fudge and topped them off with some of our favorite add-ons, including mini m and m’s, mini chocolate chips, candy corn, mini marshmallows, and more! While the apples were a hit, the piece de resistance was the very realistic-looking gummy eyeballs, which proved quite tasty and super fun to play with!
We moved into the activity room and began all our frightening fun with a sweet saran wrap ball game. With only 10 seconds and penalties for tearing the plastic, the race was on to unwrap the ball and see what sort of treats popped out! We raked in the candy, and a few lucky friends hit the jackpot with the latest and greatest Beetlejuice merchandise. They will be in style this Halloween!
With the energy running high, the time was right to break out the buzzers and start a friendly game called Family Feud – Halloween Edition! In an intense battle of girls vs. boys, we tested our Halloween knowledge with three rounds of trivia, and while it was close, the boys edged ahead and took home 100 grand! Too bad it was only a fun-sized candy bar!
With our time coming to an end, we had to wrap up our party with one last ghoulish game of mummy wrapping! Working in pairs with only toilet paper for the transformation, our youth were mummified, then competed against one another to convince Mrs. Hixon they were the best mummies out there! While they were all great representations, one stood out above the rest and took home the ultimate bag of Skittles!
On our way out the door, we filled bags full of candy, spider rings, jelly pumpkins, and skull erasers so the ghoul times could roll all evening long!
