Join Us for a Joyous Christmas Celebration!
As the Advent season approaches, our Epiphany Lutheran Church and School community joyfully prepares for one of the most heartwarming events of the year—the Christmas Cantata! Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 8th, as we bring together the timeless magic of Scripture and song in our festive holiday services.
This much-loved tradition is a beautiful combination of music and scripture readings that captures the spirit of Christmas, setting the stage for a wondrous season of joy and reflection. Adding to the magic, the children of our community are invited to be a part of the living nativity scene, re-creating the manger scene to enrich our worship experience.
Calling All Aspiring Angels and Shepherds!
We are eagerly seeking volunteers of all ages from our youth community to participate in this special service. Younger children will shine as Angels and Shepherds, while older youth have the special honor of portraying Mary, Joseph, Gabriel, and the Magi. Don’t worry—there are no lines to memorize! The children simply follow cues to create a touching and beautiful visual storytelling of the nativity.
To ensure everything is seamless, we’ll be holding one dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 7th at 1 PM. This will help the children feel comfortable in their roles as they prepare to step back in time to that holy night in Bethlehem.
Extra Festive Fun!
Participating in the Cantata is not just a chance to share talents and faith, but it’s also an opportunity to enjoy a special breakfast in between services with fellow volunteers. It’s a time for making new friends, enjoying some delicious treats, and basking in the warmth of our community festival spirit.
How to Get Involved
To register your child and secure their spot in the Cantata, please sign them up for one or both services as soon as possible. This will also allow us ample time to fit them for their costumes, ensuring everyone looks their best for the occasion.
For questions or more information, please don’t hesitate to contact Beth Hixon at bhixon@elcsh.org or Brittany Cliff at bcliff@elcsh.org. They are more than happy to assist and provide further details about this joyous event.
Join us in making this year’s Christmas Cantata an unforgettable celebration of faith and community. We can’t wait to share this beautiful experience with you and your children. Let’s come together to create a truly special and memorable holiday season at Epiphany Lutheran Church and School. ✨
