Starts THIS Sunday

This year’s event is all about RISING UP with Jesus and exploring the fantastic details of Jesus’ resurrection. Through six fun and interactive stations, our volunteers will drive home the incredible truth that JESUS IS ALIVE TODAY! The stations will be located in the church preschool wing and will be open from 10:00am – 10:45am and again from 11:15am – 12:00pm. And don’t forget the excellent Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00am sharp, which includes a special EGG-cellent surprise for whoever finds the Golden Egg!

This event is for children ages 0-11 years old, and we encourage you to invite friends and family to come along. If you have any questions or want to volunteer, please email Beth Hixon at bhixon@elcsh.org. We have plenty of ways for you to get involved, so click the link below and join us for a fun-filled day of celebrating Easter with the kids!

Palm Sunday
8:00am and 10:45am
Join us for Palm Sunday service, where we celebrate Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Palm Sunday marks the final Sunday before Easter and sets the stage for Holy Week as we travel with Jesus to the cross.

Maundy Thursday
April 06, 20237:00 pm
Join us for the Maundy service, where we go to the upper room with Jesus and his disciples.  Just as they experienced the Last Supper with Jesus that night, we also will receive Holy Communion in this worship service.  The service concludes with the Stripping of the Altar as our worship space is prepared for Good Friday.

Good Friday
April 07, 2023 – 7:00pm
Join us for the Tenebrae service,  a “service of darkness,” as we experience Christ’s trial, torture, and crucifixion – His ultimate faithfulness to God. During this service, we will read through the story of Christ’s passion, and as we progress, the worship center becomes darker.

Easter Sunday – April 09, 2023
6:45am – Sunrise Service on the pavilion
8:00am – Service with Communion
10:45am – Service with Communion
On this day, celebrate “Amazing Grace.” Come and celebrate the joy of being together as a community around an important gift given by Christ -Amazing Grace!

Our sunrise service will be at 6:45am under the pavilion. Join us as we enjoy a “very lively” meeting of a traditional biblical character and the Easter bunny.  Sounds crazy but it will be a lot of fun!

Both our 8:00am traditional, and 10:45am blended services will feature special music with instruments, parish choir, and praise band.

We hope that you and your family will join us. Please use this as an opportunity to invite your neighbors, coworkers, extended family, and anyone else who needs to hear some good news.
