High schoolers, this weekend is for you! If you need volunteer hours and love Camp Lone Star, mark your calendars for Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17 for Camp Lone Star’s annual work weekend.

We’ll help get the camp ready to welcome summer campers in June. Projects may include cleaning up campsites, sprucing up landscaping, refreshing paint, and other light tasks that make camp a warm and inviting place for everyone who visits.

Of course, a trip to Camp Lone Star wouldn’t be complete without some classic camp fun. We’ll volunteer on Saturday morning, and those who wish can enjoy camp activities on Saturday afternoon. Food and lodging are provided; just bring your snacks and spending money for the Trading Post.

This is a great way to serve, connect with friends, and earn volunteer hours for high school and college applications. Your hours can be signed off for official credit.

We also need volunteer drivers for this trip. If you’d like to participate, or if you’re a parent willing to drive, please fill out the online form by March 15 so we can provide a head count to Camp Lone Star.
