The confirmation class of 2024–2025 at Epiphany Lutheran Church has completed their three-year journey of faith formation. As part of their final year, each of the six confirmands wrote a personal paper reflecting on their beliefs and understanding of the Christian faith. These papers are available below for download and reading.

Epiphany’s confirmation program, rooted in Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) teaching, follows a structured three-year format:

  • Year One focuses on the overarching Biblical narrative and how God’s promises are fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
  • Year Two explores central doctrines of the faith, including sin, grace, salvation, the nature of God, the Sacraments, prayer, and the Ten Commandments.
  • Year Three emphasizes practical application.

In addition to continued study, students participated in Shadow-Stryke, an original fantasy-role-playing game designed and led by Pastor Jeffrey Muchow.

Shadow-Stryke is a unique program created specifically for Epiphany’s confirmands. Drawing inspiration from The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, and classic role-playing games, Pastor Muchow developed this engaging experience to reinforce theological concepts in a creative and memorable way. Students take on the roles of heroic “Shadow-Strykers” who use Scripture-based “Strykes” to overcome challenges and defeat evil—bringing biblical truth to life in a fantasy setting. The game encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and a deeper connection to Scripture, all within a solidly Lutheran framework.

The students responded with enthusiasm, and the experience left a lasting impression—helping them internalize key elements of their faith through immersive storytelling and interactive play.

Photos, confirmation verses, and download links for each student’s paper are included below. These reflections represent the growth, thoughtfulness, and faith of this year’s class.

Epiphany Lutheran Church gives thanks for these young people and offers prayers for their continued walk with Christ.
