Epiphany Lutheran Church and School proudly presents Disney’s High School Musical Jr. on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., in the Epiphany Lutheran School Worship Center, 14423 West Road in Houston. With free tickets and open seating, families and friends from our church, school, and neighborhood are all invited to come and enjoy the show together.

The story begins on the first day after winter break at East High, where everyone quickly slips back into their familiar groups. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians, and Skater Dudes each find their place, convinced they already know who they are and where they belong.

Troy Bolton, the basketball team captain and classic all-star jock, is surprised to discover that Gabriella Montez, the smart and shy girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. When Troy and Gabriella decide to audition for the school musical, they shake up the “status quo” and challenge everyone’s expectations.

Their courage to try something new and follow their gifts inspires others to step out of their comfort zones, support one another, and discover talents they didn’t know they had. Along the way, the students learn that they are more than the labels others give them, and that everyone shines a little brighter when they are encouraged to use their God-given abilities.

High School Musical Jr. will be a joyful celebration of friendship, community, and discovering who God made us to be. It will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their talents, for our congregation to cheer them on, and for our whole community to be engaged, encouraged, and enriched together.
