Fifth Sunday Celebration & VBS Wrap-Up
At Epiphany Lutheran Church, we recently came together to create something truly special! Our Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Fifth Sunday Fiesta were a resounding success, filled with joy, laughter, and a beautiful sense of community. With over 60 children joining us throughout the week, we delved into the theme of trusting Jesus in this wild world. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone who contributed—your donations, decorating skills, and volunteering hearts brought our mission of engaging, enriching, and encouraging each other to life.
The Fifth Sunday Fiesta also turned into a wonderful celebration! We started the morning with delicious beignets, prepared by our energetic NYG youth group. Their efforts raised $356 for their upcoming trip to New Orleans. During our 10:45 am service, the children from VBS delighted us with two joyful songs, “Power Shuffle” and “My God is Powerful,” which uplifted everyone’s spirits.
Following the service, we shared a meal teeming with flavorful dishes, from savory ribs and meatballs to creamy macaroni and cheese, topped off with an array of salads and desserts. The community room was buzzing with happiness, and soon that energy overflowed outdoors. Both young and old had fun on a giant water slide, played slip and slide tic tac toe, and enjoyed the water tables. It was a true blessing to spend time with one another, growing closer as brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for making these community moments so memorable!
