Giving Back: LWR & Volunteer Opportunities

A big thank you for all the generous donations received from the Epiphany congregation, both cash and the personal kit items purchased for the Lutheran World Relief project.  You can place your items for the personal care kits in the blue container in the hallway by the welcome center until October 18th. 

Volunteer opportunities are coming up soon.  Contact Linda Brown or the church office if you can assist the LWR during any or all the following time slots: 

• After the Boo Bash event on October 31st – Moving the items from storage to the assembly area

• Sunday morning, November 1st – set up before the kit assembly takes place 

• Sunday, November 1st – assemble kits, pack, tape and label shipping boxes after the first church service

• Saturday, November 7th from 9:00am to 3:00pm – The Ingathering is when quilts and kits for Lutheran World Relief are collected from all the Lutheran churches around Southeast Texas. Epiphany volunteers will load them onto the semi-truck.  Lunch and beverages will be served to all volunteers, compliments of the Thrivent funds.  

Epiphany has always been so generous with their time and efforts to share practical care and encouragement with people around the world.  We look forward to our kits improving the lives of those in need.
