Kindergarten students dove into a great read this week with Ryan T. Higgins’ book, We Don’t Lose Our Pet Goldfish. The story sparked a meaningful class discussion about responsibility — what it means to take care of something (or someone!) and why it matters.

After talking through the lessons from the book, students got creative and made their very own fish bowls, complete with colorful plastic fish. It was a fun, hands-on way to reinforce the story’s message while giving our youngest learners a chance to express their creativity.
