Save the Date for Grandparent Day 2026
Our school theme this year, chosen together by our students and faculty, is Rooted in Christ. It comes from Colossians chapter two: “rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
As you were taught. That phrase points backward. Faith gets handed across a family one generation at a time, and every child in our hallways is the result of patient work that started years before we met them.
On Friday, September 25, Epiphany is setting aside a morning to thank those people. Grandparents Day opens at 9:00 with a continental breakfast, moves into the Worship Center at 9:30 for a program and chapel, and closes at 11:00, with time in between for students and their guests to tackle a few fun activities side by side.
Please pass the invitation along, and know that you do not have to be a grandparent to come. We would love to fill this building with older members of our congregation and our wider community, whether or not they have a child in these classrooms. A great-aunt, a longtime neighbor, a friend from church who has been praying for our students for years, all of them are welcome to sit with these children and show them what it looks like to keep growing in faith. If your child’s grandparents cannot be here, invite someone else. We want to show our students just how deep their roots go in this community of believers!
Our students are growing into a faith that was planted long before they got here, and this is a good morning to let them meet the ones who planted it.
