Behind every child at Epiphany stands a family that has poured love, sacrifice, and faith into their lives. In honor of Grandparents Day, we sat down with grandparents and parents from our school and church family to hear what has been passed down to them, and what they hope to pass on.

A father who worked three jobs so his children could attend a Christian school. A grandmother who took her granddaughter to church at 5:00 every morning. A mother in Vietnam whose kindness shaped her son’s character. And now, a new generation carrying that same love forward, driving to school each morning, praying each night, and learning alongside the children in their care.

Their stories remind us that our roots matter. When we are rooted in Christ, we are like a tree planted by the rivers, grounded on a foundation that has already been laid for us. As one grandmother shared, we don’t have to stand on our own foundation, because we can stand on His.
