Epiphany School Hosts First-Ever Chemistry Club Demo Day

Epiphany Lutheran School recently welcomed some of the brightest young scientists from Concordia Lutheran High School for an exciting first-ever Chem Club Demo Day.

Ten Concordia students (representing the top of their school’s science department) brought chemistry to life at Epiphany through a series of hands-on experiments and demonstrations. The majority of these student presenters were sophomores, showcasing the impressive talent being cultivated in Concordia’s science program under the leadership of Dr. Oblinger, a 20-year veteran educator with a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

The Chemistry Club, which typically meets on Thursday mornings at Concordia to conduct experiments and prepare for presentations, partners with Concordia’s Admissions department to coordinate demonstrations at other schools throughout the area.

This marked the first time Epiphany has hosted a Chem Club Demo Day, giving students a front-row seat to the exciting world of chemistry and strengthening the connection between the two Lutheran schools.
