Discovering the Joy of Storytelling with Children’s Author A. B. Wade
Epiphany’s halls were full of imagination and laughter on Tuesday, February 24, as children’s author A. B. Wade spent the morning with our Epiphany Lutheran Church School students.
Preschool through 2nd grade enjoyed a fun, interactive read-along as Mr. Wade brought his stories to life and shared simple, encouraging tips about writing. The children listened, laughed, and learned that stories can come from the everyday moments and questions they experience.
Later, 3rd through 5th graders took a deeper dive into the writing process. Mr. Wade walked them through how a book is created from start to finish, including writing, editing, and illustrating. Students asked thoughtful questions during a Q&A time and discovered how their own ideas can grow into stories that teach, inspire, and connect.
Raised by two teachers and inspired by his two curious sons, A. B. Wade showed our students that stories are powerful tools for learning, healing, and sharing God’s love with others.
We are grateful to A. B. Wade for a wonderful, engaging visit that helped encourage young writers, spark creativity, and enrich our school community.
