VBS: The Rainforest is Coming to Life!

Something wild is happening at Epiphany Lutheran Church and School. Walk through our doors and you might do a double take. Familiar hallways have been transformed into towering trees, tangled vines, and the gentle roar of waterfalls.

Welcome to Rainforest Falls, this summer’s Vacation Bible School adventure, where kids step into a lush world of wild waterfalls and colorful creatures to discover the wonderful nature of the God who made them.

None of this “rainforest magic” appears on its own. For weeks, volunteers have wrapped pillars in bark, strung leafy canopies across the ceilings, and turned ordinary corners into hidden waterfalls and creature-filled hideaways. Glue guns have been blazing, ladders have been climbed, and more than one person has gone home with green paint somewhere it probably should not be.

A heartfelt thank you to the creative crew who brought Rainforest Falls to life: Brittany Cliff, Kayla, Valery, Cassarah, Daphne, David, Logan, Chloe, Alex, Christian-ish, Mrs. Jackie, and Mrs. Pam. Your imagination, energy, and joyful teamwork turned a fun idea into a living, breathing rainforest that welcomes every child who walks in.

But Rainforest Falls is about far more than beautiful scenery. All week long, kids will explore what it means to be rooted in a relationship with God, their Creator and their safe place in life’s storms. They will discover that God is Creator, All-Knowing, their Refuge, Love, and Forever.

That is the real reason our volunteers pour out their time and energy. The waterfalls are stunning, but the lasting work happens in the hearts of the children who walk through them—hearts that are being engaged by God’s Word, encouraged by caring leaders, and enriched by a community that loves them.

Registration is now full, but you can still be part of the adventure. Please keep our kids, leaders, and volunteers in your prayers as they step into the mist together this week. It is going to be unforgettable.
